Crowley man booked in drive-by shooting Crowley man booked in drive-by shooting Acadiana bureau Feb. 06, 2014 Comments CROWLEY — A Crowley man was booked Tuesday on four counts of attempted second-degree murder in a drive-by shooting at a home with four people inside, officials said. Brenton Scott, 29, allegedly fired four shots at the home at 9:46 a.m. Monday, Police Chief K.P. Gibson said in a release. After the shots were fired, Scott fled from the home located in the 100 block of Rhone Village, Gibson said. No one was injured. Crowley police later found Scott’s vehicle in Meadows Apartments, and during a forensics examination of the car determined Scott was the shooter, the police chief said. “The search warrant yielded evidence from the vehicle to support the investigation,” Gibson said. Scott was arrested early Tuesday at his apartment in the 300 block of West Jeanette Street. “The cold weather has kept most people inside today,” Gibson said, “thus we reacted as quickly as possible and were able to get our suspect into custody as well as recover the firearm used in this crime.” Bail for Scott was set at $125,000.
