The arrest of Mark Johnson, 44, on Tuesday followed the release of surveillance photographs from a Dec. 9 break-in of the air machine at Popingo’s on La. 44, Gonzales police said in a news release. Police located Johnson at an apartment complex at 2642 Manchester Drive, Baker, police said. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on one count of criminal damage to coin-operated devices and one count of theft. An investigation continues into Johnson’s possible involvement in similar incidents in other parishes along the I-10 corridor, police said.
