Three men sought in Lafayette shooting

Lafayette police are looking for three people wanted in the Thursday night attempted murder of an 18-year-old male who was shot in the 1800 block of North Evangeline Thruway.

The victim told police he drove to a store to pick up another person at around 8 p.m. when a dark-colored SUV parked near him, Cpl. Paul Mouton said in a news release.

“An unknown person fired one shot from the SUV, striking the … victim in the face,” Mouton said.

The victim, who was not identified, was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

The three people wanted in the incident, who have not been identified, were captured on a business’s video equipment.
