Police ID bodies found in Motel 6 as Baton Rouge woman, Indiana man

Baton Rouge Police have identified the man and woman whose bodies were found Sunday inside a room at the Motel 6 on Gwenadale Drive, but still don’t know why they died.

It is believed the deceased, Amy Hadden, 33, of 1968 Peck Drive in Baton Rouge, and Steven Ashley Jr., 38, of 317 E. Main Street in Hanover, Ind., were known associates, police spokesman Cpl. Don Coppola Jr. said in an email.

Coppola said earlier that the bodies were found at 1:47 p.m. Sunday by motel staff and there was no sign of foul play.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 389-4869 or Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
