A Texas man traveling east on Interstate 10 near the Estherwood exit was killed Tuesday in a one-vehicle crash, State Police said.
Francisco Silva, 70, of Clute, was driving a 2006 Kia sport utility vehicle westbound at about 3 p.m. when he hit a guardrail and overturned in the median, Trooper Stephen Hammons said in a news release. Silva later died at a hospital.
Investigators do not know why Silva’s car left the roadway, Hammons said.
Silva was wearing a seat belt, the release said, and the crash remains under investigation.
