1 dead, one wounded in EBR shooting incident 1 dead, one wounded in EBR shooting incident Advocate staff report Aug. 04, 2013 Comments East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies say they believe a drug deal gone bad Friday night led to a double-shooting that left one man dead and another in a hospital. Donald Ray Walls, 26, was shot multiple times in the 7100 block of Greenwell Street around 8 p.m. Friday, said Casey Rayborn Hicks, a Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman. Emergency responders transported Walls to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Another man, who has not been identified by authorities, remains hospitalized after suffering at least one gunshot wound in the shooting, Hicks said. Deputies were not releasing the names of any possible suspects as of Saturday evening. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (225) 344-7867.
