Unrestrained passenger killed in Livingston Parish wreck Unrestrained passenger killed in Livingston Parish wreck Advocate staff report| July 31, 2013 Comments An unrestrained, front-seat passenger died in a head-on collision of pickup trucks Saturday night in Livingston Parish, State Police said Sunday. Mickel L. Tetreault, 20, Livingston, died about 9 p.m. when the other pickup truck crossed the center line of La. 64 and crashed into the 1997 Ford pickup Tetreault was in, driven by Bryan Payne, 22, Denham Springs. Payne, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital, Trooper First Class Jared Sandifer said. The other pickup, a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, was driven by Samuel Doherty III, 28, Baton Rouge. He was wearing a seat belt. However, State Police suspect Doherty was impaired, Sandifer said. Troopers took toxicology samples from both drivers for testing.
