Stephen Andrew Schamber, 35, 2750 Millerville Road Apt. 3304, Baton Rouge, and Joseph Albert, 49, 10455 Lion Ave., Maringouin, were booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on counts under Louisiana’s prostitution statute, according to affidavits of probable cause. An undercover police detective posing as a prostitute placed an advertisement in an online site and arranged separate meetings with the two men at a hotel just off of Corporate Boulevard. Once the men showed up to the hotel room and agreed to pay the undercover woman for sex, they were arrested. Ten people booked with DWI in EBR Authorities arrested at least 10 people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday, booking records show. Those booked and the counts against them: Leigh Brister, 19, 9800 Debra Drive, River Ridge, first-offense DWI and parking where prohibited.
