Lafayette man booked in shootings Lafayette man booked in shootings Acadiana bureau July 16, 2013 Comments LAFAYETTE — A Lafayette man who surrendered Thursday was booked on three counts of attempted first-degree murder in a June 30 shooting that injured one, police said. Jeremy Lee White, 25, is suspected in a shooting in the 400 block of South Magnolia Street that occurred at 9:30 p.m. after an argument, police spokesman Cpl. Paul Mouton said. The victim and two others were in a car that White allegedly fired on, Mouton said. Arriving police were told the victim had already been transported to a hospital, where the victim was listed in critical condition with a bullet wound to the upper torso, police said. Neither the victim who was shot nor the two others who also were in the vehicle were identified. The victim has since been released from the hospital, police said.
