Justin King, 27, 6069 St. Katherine Ave., was located around 1:30am inside his residence by BRPD officers who were responding to a call of shots fired in the area. King, who was suffering from multiple gun shot wounds, was transported to a local hospital where he later died due to his injuries. Another victim, 22, drove himself to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to survive. Officers responded to a call of shots fired around 1:30 a.m. to find Justin King, 6069 St. Katherine Ave., had been shot multiple times inside his home, police spokesman Cpl. Tommy Stubbs said. King later died from his injuries at a hospital. A 22-year-old man was seriously injured in the shooting, but drove himself to a hospital and is expected to survive. What appeared to be at least three bullet holes could be seen Saturday in the home’s white wooden facade and small mailbox. Stubbs could not confirm whether the shooting took place inside or outside the residence. As of Saturday night, detectives did not have a motive or suspect in the shooting.
