Man found shot to death on Ford Street Man found shot to death on Ford Street ben wallace| Advocate staff writer July 06, 2013 Comments A 43-year-old man was fatally shot while riding a bicycle Thursday morning in the 6200 block of Ford Street, said Cpl. Tommy Stubbs, a Baton Rouge Police Department spokesman. Ron Derosin, 9023 Cedar Glen Drive, was found shot to death shortly before 9 a.m. in the front yard of a residence at 6276 Ford St., Stubbs said. Neighbors said they heard at least one gunshot shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday, and later saw a man lying motionless in a lot between two houses along Ford Street. The bicycle was found lying in a driveway near the man’s body, according to several neighbors, who asked that their names not be used because they feared for their safety. A small pool of dried blood could be seen next to a rectangular wooden log lying in the lot. No motive has been determined for the shooting, which is being investigated as a homicide, Stubbs said. Anyone with information on this shooting is urged to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 389-4869, or Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.
