Talley was in the middle of La. 3177 just after 4:30 a.m. when he was hit by an unidentified northbound vehicle that was driven away from the scene, State Police Troop I said. Talley was hit again, the second time by a 2001 Toyota truck driven by Adam Trinco, 34, of Breaux Bridge. Trinco was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. “Troopers are still trying to determine when Talley sustained the fatal injuries,” Trooper Stephen Hammons said. Talley was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Martin Parish Coroner’s Office. The accident remains under investigation. Investigators suspect Talley was drunk, Hammons said, and toxicology samples were sent to the State Police Crime Lab.
