2 arrested in fatal shooting near Hammond 2 arrested in fatal shooting near Hammond Advocate staff report| June 03, 2013 Comments HAMMOND — Tangipahoa Parish sheriff’s deputies arrested two men Saturday accused in the fatal shooting of a 36-year-old man near Hammond, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office said. Gabriel Baker, 27, 1242 Martin Luther King Ave., Hammond, surrendered to authorities shortly after being identified as the man who shot Antoine Webb, 36, multiple times during a fight, according to a Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office news release. Baker was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on a count of second-degree murder, the release says. Deputies also arrested Tramaine Parker, 18, 13076 Stevenson Lane, Hammond, and booked him into the jail on counts of principal to second-degree murder, the release says. The shooting occurred early Saturday at the intersection of Lowes Lane and Old Baton Rouge Highway, the release says. Detectives are still investigating the case and will release more information at a later time, Tangipahoa sheriff’s Chief Deputy Dennis Pevey said.
