The Baton Rouge Police Department’s Special Response Team arrested a man armed with a board Friday morning after he refused to come out of his home on South Boulevard.

Landis Young, 44, 1073 South Blvd., allegedly was threatening a woman in the home and was booked into Parish Prison with aggravated assault and simple assault, Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said,

“He refused to come out,” McKneely said. “They went inside to get him.”

McKneely said the woman had been arguing with the man inside the home, ran outside and told a passerby about the situation.

Police arrived and saw that Young had a weapon and was refusing to leave his house, McKneely said.

No one was injured in the arrest, McKneely said.
