A man accused of punching, choking, biting and threatening to kill his girlfriend last month was arrested Tuesday.

Hunter Blake Heard, 26, 447 Gardere Lane, Baton Rouge, was booked with attempted second-degree murder and domestic abuse battery, East Baton Rouge Parish Prison records show.

According to an affidavit warrant, Heard and his girlfriend got into an argument late in the evening on March 23 and Heard punched the victim in the mouth before choking her until she lost consciousness.

Heard then drove off with the victim on River Road and continued to punch the victim while he was driving, the warrant says. During the beating, Heard bit the victim and told her that “nobody would find her body,” according to the warrant.

Heard then choked the victim again before she escaped from the vehicle, ran off and hid in the woods, the warrant says.
