FRANCISVILLE — An employee of a tree-trimming company was injured Monday when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver, West Feliciana Parish Sheriff J. Austin Daniel said. The man was taken to a Baton Rouge hospital after the midmorning incident, the sheriff said. “His injuries did not appear to be life-threatening,” the sheriff said. The McComb, Miss., man was standing by his truck on Tunica Street, outside of St. Francisville, when he was pinned against his vehicle and its side mirror, the sheriff said. The man, an employee of RAMCO LLC, of Grey, was only able to tell fellow employees that he was hit by a white truck, Daniel said. The investigation is continuing.
