William Vladimir Gramajo-Torres, 31, 10800 Cherry Hill Ave., was booked Monday with home invasion and simple battery, East Baton Rouge Parish Prison records show. Gramajo-Torres and the victim had been arguing all day before the attack, according to an affidavit of probable cause. Man, 34, accusedof ramming vehicle East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies Monday arrested a man accused of ramming a woman’s vehicle with their children inside March 22. Lon Bedney, 34, 19608 Vicknair Road, Maurepas, was booked into Parish Prison on three counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count each of reckless operation of a vehicle, violation of protective orders, driver’s license suspended or revoked, and hit-and-run. The victim told deputies she had just picked up their two children from an after-hours program on Sumrall Drive when she saw Bedney speeding behind her, the warrant says. Bedney then pulled alongside the woman and rammed the driver’s side of her vehicle, which forced her partially off the road, the warrant says. The woman turned left onto Cedar Grove Drive and was rear-ended by Bedney, the warrant says. The woman continued driving but was rear-ended again, the warrant says. Bedney rammed the driver’s side of the woman’s vehicle again as she approached the Cedar Grove-Maplewood Drive intersection, where she stopped before heading home, the warrant says. Electrical problem blamed in house fire An electrical malfunction in a storage room Monday morning caused a house fire at 10746 Red Oak Drive, the Baton Rouge Fire Department said. Firefighters arrived on scene at 8:45 a.m. to find the home’s storage room engulfed in flames, Fire Department spokesman Curt Monte said in a news release. Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading into the living area of the home, Monte said. The storage area and its contents are a total loss, Monte said. Two people bookedwith DWI in EBR Authorities arrested at least two people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday, booking records show. Those booked and the counts against them: Calvin Smith, 20, 423 Gebelin St., Baton Rouge, first-offense DWI and driver’s license required or expired.
