SLU student shot, killed

Police investigated Saturday the death of a Southeastern Louisiana University graduate student who was shot inside his apartment.

Raphael Garrison, 23, 1802 N. Oak St., Apartment B, was killed about 2:15 p.m. Friday, Lt. Vincent Giannobile said Saturday in a news release.

Police found Garrison lying on the floor of his apartment. Investigators don’t know how many times he was shot, Giannobile said.

Garrison was working on his master’s degree at SLU, Gainnobile said.

Police were looking for two males seen leaving the area in a tan Toyota, the release says.

Giannobile asked anyone with information about the slaying to call Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa at (800) 554-JAIL or the Hammond Police Department at (985) 277-5701.

This is sad an insane... the address in the article is literally right next to campus. Actually, campus property is on both sides of that address (in between Lee hall and the ball field). Thoughts out to a fallen Lion. Heart's with his family.

Pakistani, you are the only person who is asking for an RPG and a tank. When the criminals no longer have assault weapons, I will feel safe and secure. Too bad this guys didn't have a weapon handy. He might be alive.

Why can't I own a RPG? I don't care that I live in a society where the majority rules. I want what I want. I'm sure James Madison knew what a RPG was. I also want a tank. Nobody should restrict my wants for weapons. Fox Entertainment Network is on my side.

The agenda of the press is to report as many gun-related deaths as possible to further the cause for gun control....in step with hussein.

Notice how the press spins the article to lead us to believe this was another school shooting? Truth be known, the press is more responsible for senseless gun deaths than anything else.
