James Joseph McInnis, 10888 Buddy Ellis Road, Denham Springs, was booked into Parish Prison on one count of home invasion, Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said in a news release. McInnis forced his way inside a home in the 800 block of South Eugene Street at 12:08 a.m. Monday, McKneely said. McInnis beat the 81-year-old homeowner and stole his television, McKneely said. 18-year-old booked on pornography LSU police arrested an 18-year-old man Thursday accused of keeping on his cellphone a naked picture of a 14-year-old girl that was posted on Twitter, an LSU Police Department spokesman said. Kameryon Keyon Brown, 6809 Garland Ave., Baker, was booked into Parish Prison on one count of pornography involving juveniles, Capt. Cory Lalonde said in a news release. The victim, an LSU student, filed a report with LSU police Jan. 2 saying that she and Brown had been arguing via text message because Brown claimed she posted negative comments about him on Twitter, Lalonde said. Brown had made a comment about “posting” a naked picture of the student, Lalonde said. Brown was not specific about the medium in which he would post the picture, Lalonde said. Soon after, the victim was contacted by friends about a naked picture of her appearing on Twitter, Lalonde said. The victim told officers she was 14 when the picture was taken, Lalonde said. She texted the picture to Brown, Lalonde said. Brown told LSU police he received the picture via text message when he was 15 years old, according to an affidavit of probable cause for Brown’s arrest. Brown told LSU police he sent the picture to friends via text message, Lalonde said but denied putting the picture on Twitter. LSU police searched Brown’s cellphone and found the picture in question, Lalonde said. Both Brown and the victim were juveniles at the time the picture was taken, Lalonde said. Brown is not affiliated with LSU, Lalonde said. Suspect in dragging of officer arrested Baton Rouge police arrested a 42-year-old man Thursday accused of dragging an officer with his car Tuesday while the officer tried to stop the man after a drug investigation on O’Neal Lane, according to an affidavit warrant. Rodney Joseph Cavell, 311 Garden Lane, Denham Springs, was booked into Parish Prison on one count each of aggravated assault with a motor vehicle upon a police officer, resisting an officer by force and possession of schedule II drugs. The unidentified officer suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police have said. Authorities arrest 4 on suspicion of DWI Authorities arrested at least four people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday, booking records show.
