Man arrested in child pornography case

Police have arrested a Lafayette man on counts of pornography involving juveniles following an investigation by the Police Department’s Cyber Crimes Unit.

The investigation led to the Wednesday arrest of Timothy Richcreek, 27, of Lafayette, police spokesman Cpl. Paul Mouton said in an email.

An undercover operation began on Aug. 15 and investigators later searched Richcreek’s apartment in the 100 block of Glouchester Road, Mouton said.

“A forensic preview of the computer equipment at the residence resulted in investigators locating a significant amount of child pornography on an external hard drive belonging to Mr. Richcreek,” Mouton said.

The Advocate failed to mention it, but I wonder if this guy's bail was 10 million ? If he were in Livingston parish it would be.
