Suspect, 32, sought in Ascension theft Suspect, 32, sought in Ascension theft Advocate staff report Nov. 15, 2012 Comments Ascension Parish sheriff’s deputies are looking for a 32-year-old man in the theft of nearly $30,000 worth of guns and jewelry about two weeks ago from a home in St. Amant, a sheriff’s spokesman said. Deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Shane Medine, 32, 43161 La. 42, Prairieville, said Chief Deputy Tony Bacala. Detectives have recovered almost all of the stolen weapons, Bacala said. The Ascension Sheriff’s Sex Offender Division also has an outstanding warrant for Medine’s arrest for failing to comply with sex offender registration laws, Bacala said. Detectives arrested Medine’s girlfriend, Amber Gorenflo, 18, of 16473 Jay Road, Prairieville, on Nov. 7 in the burglary, Bacala said. Bacala said Gorenflo is being held in the Ascension Parish Jail without bail. However, he did not disclose the counts filed against Gorenflo when she was booked into jail.
