3 suspects arrested in Pierre Part burglary case

Three Assumption Parish men were arrested this week following a residential burglary in Pierre Part’s Landry subdivision.

Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack announced Friday that Jarvis Alleman, 17, 127 Verrett St., Lot C, Pierre Part; Trevis Ray, 17, 108 Donna St., Pierre Part; and Joshua Kinkle, 18, 217 Heriad St., Plattenville, were arrested in connection with the Sept. 29 burglary.

The suspects allegedly made off with a game console, alcoholic beverages, collectible gold coins and other items, the sheriff said. They also attempted to break into a safe in the home but were unsuccessful, Waguespack said

After sheriff’s detectives questioned several people, they made the first arrest Thursday. Two other suspects were arrested Friday.

Waguespack said detectives were able to get complete confessions from the suspects, but they are believed to have disposed of the stolen property before their arrests.

Alleman and Ray were booked on two counts each of simple burglary, while Kinkle was booked on an obstruction of justice count for allegedly helping Alleman and Ray dispose of the stolen property.

Waguespack said anyone with information about the case should contact the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office’s Detectives Division at (985) 526-1627.
