LAFAYETTE — The Lafayette Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Violent Offender Task Force are seeking information on the whereabouts of Carl. J. Phillips, who is wanted on one count of second-degree murder.
The shooting occurred July 28 in the 600 block of Goldman Street in Lafayette where Phillips, 32, is accused of shooting a 20-year-old Baton Rouge man in the chest. He left in a gold-colored vehicle, according to a news release.
The victim, identified as John Joseph Dean, later died from his wounds, the release said.
Phillips is considered to be armed and dangerous.
