Two shot on Atlanta Street

East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputies are investigating a double shooting Monday on Atlanta Avenue close to Greenwell Street, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

Deputies were called at 3:54 p.m. about shots fired in the 5900 block of Atlanta Avenue, Casey Rayborn Hicks said.

Deputies believe two men shot each other, but the incident is still under investigation, Hicks said.

The men were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Hicks said.
