Bomber in Bulgaria may have had ties to Louisiana
Louisiana State Police are looking into whether the bomber who killed himself and others on a bus filled with Israeli tourists Wednesday in Bulgaria has ties to Louisiana.
Investigators with the agency received information Thursday about a Baton Rouge address on a suspected fake Michigan driver’s license linked to the alleged suicide bomber, State Police spokesman Capt. Doug Cain said.
“We are working with our federal partners to determine if he has any ties to Louisiana,” Cain said.
Bulgarian television aired footage of the license showing the name of Jacque Felipe Martin with an address of 103 France St., Baton Rouge, which is the address of the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino.
Michigan officials said they told the FBI that no one by that name had a valid Michigan license and that out-of-state residents cannot be issued one.
