CROWLEY — A body found early Saturday morning along White Oak Highway has been identified as a Guatemalan man living in Mermentau, the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
The body, which was wrapped in a tarp, is that of 24-year-old Andres Miguel Manuel, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Maxine Trahan said the cause of death has not been determined.
A passing driver came upon the body about 4:50 a.m. Saturday on White Oak Highway north of La. 365, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
