Acadia Parish authorities were investigating the discovery of a dead body found early Saturday on White Oak Highway north of La. 365, according to an Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office news release.
A passing driver saw the body around 4:50 a.m., the release says.
When deputies arrived, they found the body of a Hispanic man, 25 to 30 years old, wrapped in a tarp laying in the middle of the roadway, the release says.
The victim had no identification on his person.
The body was sent to the Calcasieu Parish Coroner’s Officefor an autopsy, the release says.
