Motorcycle crash kills Zachary man

CLINTON — A Zachary man was killed and a woman critically injured when the motorcycle on which they were riding ran off the road and hit two trees, Police Chief Eddie Stewart said Thursday.

The crash happened at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday on Feliciana Drive, killing the motorcycle driver, Eric Arnold, 29, of Plank Road, Zachary, Stewart said.

The 50-year-old woman riding on the bike was critically injured and remained hospitalized in Baton Rouge on Thursday, the police chief said.

Stewart said speed was a factor in Arnold losing control, but the investigation is continuing.
