Two men arrested in Holden aluminum theft
LIVINGSTON — Detectives in the newly formed Burglary Division arrested two men in the theft of aluminum from Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc. in Holden, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office reported Monday.
Mark Dwayne Hoyt Sr., 32, and Richard Sterling Young Jr., 30, of Holden, were each booked on one count of felony theft, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
The arrests resulted from a theft Thursday of about $3,000 worth of aluminum, according to the news release.
Hoyt was in the Livingston Parish Detention Center Monday afternoon under $10,000 bail and a probation hold, deputies said.
Young, who also had three outstanding traffic warrants, was being held in lieu of $10,553 bail, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Formation of the Burglary Division was one of the first acts of Sheriff Jason Ard, who took the oath of office Friday.
