Two men wounded in shooting Monday
Police are investigating a Monday morning shooting that left two men with life-threatening injuries.
The men were shot at an unknown location and then drove to a Circle K on Plank Road, police spokesman Capt. Elton Brown said in a news release.

Deputies arrest men
in assault on woman
Two men were arrested Monday for allegedly robbing and sexually assaulting a woman during a possible attempted drug deal at a Jefferson Park Drive apartment, according to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to the apartment at 8144 Jefferson Park at 6:15 a.m., Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks said. When deputies arrived, they found a man fleeing through a window, Hicks said.
That man was later identified at Antoine Lewis, 22, 19604 Torrence Ave., Bogalusa, who was booked into Parish Prison on one count each of home invasion, armed robbery, illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and aggravated rape.
The other man, Colby Lewis, 18, 15057 Seven Pines Avenue, was booked on an outstanding warrant for simple robbery. Additional charges pertaining to Monday’s incident might be added, Hicks said.
Man booked in April
kidnapping, robbery
A 21-year-old man was arrested Sunday in the April kidnapping and armed robbery of a man, an arrest warrant says.
Rico London and an unidentified accomplice approached the victim at 10:30 p.m. April 20 while the victim was sitting in his vehicle at a stop sign near 1600 North Harco Drive, the warrant says.
London is accused of pointing a handgun at the man, taking $150 from the victim’s pocket and forcing the victim to drive to an apartment complex on North Harco, the warrant says.
Once there, London and his accomplice searched the victim’s vehicle and took a cellphone, the warrant says. London then told the victim to leave the area and not return, the warrant says.
London, 7045 Jewel Drive, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on one count each of armed robbery and kidnapping.
Authorities book 3 on suspicion of DWI
Authorities arrested at least three people suspected of driving while intoxicated in East Baton Rouge Parish and booked them into Parish Prison between 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday, booking records show.
Those booked and the counts against them:
- Darrin Bolds, 38, 64576 Little Farms Road, Plaquemine, first-offense DWI, driving left of center, reckless operation of a vehicle and motor vehicle inspection required.
- David Green, 32, 25536 Kendalewood Drive, first-offense DWI and failure to maintain control.
- Alfredo Perez, 51, no address available, first-offense DWI, hit and run, failure to maintain control and resisting an officer.
