BR police investigating shooting

Baton Rouge police are investigating a shooting that occurred around 9 p.m. Monday on North 27th Street, according to a Baton Rouge Police Department news release

According to the release, a police officer was patrolling near North 27th Street when he heard gun fire.

The officer found a man in the 700 block of North 27th Street with gunshot wounds to his mid section, according to the release.

The victim told the officer he was shot by a man who left the area just before the officer arrived.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.

The Advocate should just add a new subsection to the top of this webpage under News titled Today's Shootings. All they need to add then in each story is the street location. Every other detail appears to always remain the same.

As the Kipper said crime is down it is just the reporting of it that makes it seem bad.
