A Plaquemine man was killed when his car crashed into a house Saturday, according to a State Police news release.
Victor Cannella III, 46, was not wearing a seat belt as he drove his 1990 Isuzu north on La. 77, just south of La. 386 about 11:17 a.m., the release says.
His car traveled off the left side of the road, for unknown reasons, and careened into a house.
The Iberville Parish Coroner’s Office pronounced Cannella dead at the scene.
Toxicology samples were submitted to the State Police Crime Lab to determine if Cannella was impaired at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
