Attendant faces fraud, forgery counts
GRAMERCY — A personal-care attendant faces prosecution on Medicaid fraud and forgery counts, state Attorney General Buddy Caldwell reported Wednesday.
Linda D. Bourgeois, 53, 1530 Rose Lane, Gramercy, allegedly added fraudulent hours to time sheets she submitted to the Medicaid program on 19 separate occasions from May 25, 2009, to June 21, 2009, according to a news release from Caldwell’s office.
She also is accused of forging the signature of a Medicaid recipient for unauthorized services on five separate occasions.
