Napoleonville man, 35, arrested in theft, illegal credit card use
Assumption Parish detectives used footage from video surveillance cameras to identify a Napoleonville man wanted in the theft and illegal use of a woman’s credit card, Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack said Thursday.
Terrance A. Jackson, 35, 133 Bertrand St., Napoleonville, was arrested Tuesday on one count of felony unauthorized use of an access card, Waguespack said.
Jackson is accused of using the card at four stores and charging in excess of $2,500, the sheriff said.
Waguespack said a woman noticed her card was missing after using it in a Plattenville store.
When she called her bank to report the card missing, Waguespack said, the woman was told the card had been used several times since her purchase in Plattenville.
The card also was used to make unauthorized purchases in St. Mary Parish, Waguespack said. Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office are assisting with the investigation, Waguespack said.
Jackson was in the Assumption Parish Detention Center on Thursday, Waguespack said.
