Pedestrian killed in WBR

BUECHE — A woman died Friday morning after she was struck by a vehicle on Bueche Road , State Police said Friday.

Brandon Gueho, 24, of Port Allen was driving a 2006 Chevrolet pickup south on Bueche Road, north of Section Road, when he struck Raylynn Guidry, 21, of Marrero, Trooper Russell Graham said in a news release.

Guidry was wearing dark clothing and standingin the southbound travel lane when she was struck, Graham said.

Troopers did not suspect Gueho was impaired at the time of the collision, but he voluntarily submitted a breath sample that showed he had no detectable alcohol in his system, Graham said.

The West Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s Office pronounced Guidry dead at the scene.
