Apparent murder-suicide investigated

A Baton Rouge couple was found dead inside their Shenandoah Estates home Monday, killed during an apparent murder-suicide, authorities said.

Investigators suspect Timothy Grady, 52, shot and killed his wife, Natalie Grady, 49, before turning the gun on himself, said Casey Rayborn Hicks, a Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.

A relative discovered the couple’s bodies about noon inside their home at 15502 Antietam Ave., Hicks said.

Hicks said it appears the shooting happened shortly before the bodies were found. No one else was home when the shooting occurred, she said.

It was not known why Timothy Grady shot his wife, but Hicks said Sheriff’s Office deputies had not been called to the home for any disturbances before Monday.

Family members at the scene declined to comment.
