Advocate staff report Sept. 03, 2014 Comments GONZALES — A Maurepas man was killed early Monday in a single-vehicle crash on La. 22 in Ascension Parish, State Police reported. Robert G. Falcon Jr., 37, was driving a 2003 GMC Yukon eastbound on La. 22 shortly before 3:15 a.m., police said. As Falcon approached a right-hand curve, his vehicle ran off the road to the left. The vehicle then re-entered the road and rolled several times. Falcon was unrestrained at the time of the crash and was thrown from the SUV, police said. He was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales where he died. A toxicology sample was taken and submitted to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab for analysis, police said. St. Amant Volunteer Fire Department Chief Officer James E. LeBlanc said five fatalities have occurred on this part of La. 22 in recent years.
