Letter: Dumbing down school fails to prepare for life

B.G. Hoffmann appears to think the answer to Common Core is to dumb down what we teach in high school so the dumb-downed can better qualify for technical schools and industrial jobs. A high school should teach English, history, geography, science, math, as all those prepare students for life, no matter what the students pursue after high school.
