Advocate story March 29, 2014 Comments If there is anything as certain in this world, it is the capacity of the people of south Louisiana to throw a world-class party. And their hardihood as partiers was shown on a wet and cold Fat Tuesday this year. Sure, it was cold, but the parades rolled. The climax of Carnival season is one of the reasons that we love our state, and we hope our visitors from around the globe enjoyed themselves. We want Mardi Gras to be special, even if it takes a good bit of fortitude on the part of riders and spectators.
