Our Views: Manship marks big birthday

Much has changed in the media landscape since LSU began its journalism program in 1913, and the Manship School of Mass Communication has, in recent years, expanded its mission to include political communication, too.

But the basic tools of good mass communication, strong writing and critical thinking, remain as important for today’s graduates as the Manship School’s early students.

We congratulate the Manship School on its centennial, and we wish it many more years of success.
