The recent spate of letters wailing about climate change and demonizing conservatives deserves a reply. Please note that the Earth is about 4 billion years old, so that using flawed, incomplete climate data from the past few hundreds of years to try to predict future global climate changes produces statistically irrelevant results, In other words, it’s a guess.
And guess what? The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change admits just that in its most recent report. It’s a shame that so many trees had to be destroyed to print it.
An early draft of the report admits “The ability of a climate model to make future climate projections cannot be directly evaluated.”
Anyone who trusts the conclusions of these progressives is a twit, or a shameless political propagandist.
Remember our Earth has had at least six ice ages; the last one ended about 9,000 years ago.
Why, you might ask, did the ice ages end? They ended because the Earth warmed … independently of any carbon dioxide production by man. The climate has always changed, and we cannot alter that in any meaningful fashion.
We can, however, tax and regulate private business and industry into oblivion and ruin our country financially in a useless attempt alter the climate.
