Letters: Disinterested spectators should sell tickets to fans

This is an open letter to the 70,000 some odd spectators who left the LSU vs. Auburn game at halftime. I use the term spectator because surely a true Tiger fan would never desert the team in the middle of the first SEC test of the season. I am so tired of seeing empty seats at Tiger Stadium before the game is even in the third quarter.

Where were you when Auburn fought back and our Tigers needed your energy and encouragement to continue the fight? I have no doubt that the same spectators who left the game will be the ones slinging darts at the Tigers for letting Auburn get to within two touchdowns of us. Shame on you. Either support your team all the way or sell your tickets to those of us who would stay and cheer our Tigers to victory for the entire game. To the 20,000 who stayed, you truly bleed and live purple and gold! Geaux Tigers!
