The headline on today’s Amy Wold column reads, “Weather extremes stir research.”
The correct title should be “Weather extremes stir research that will only find Americans responsible for the extremes.”
Wold admits climate change (which has only been going on for about 4 billion years) may not be totally man’s fault, but some of it must be — case closed. She ignores all of the excellent research done by hundreds of real scientists who know that weather changes are just what occur on Earth. The best example is volcanoes, which produce massive amounts of what environmental extremists consider pollution.
To date, I have not heard one proponent of man-made weather problems blame true culprits such as volcanoes and water vapor, nor is anyone talking about the expanding ice shelf in the Arctic. Wold should be willing to report on all of the research done on climate change, not just the kind that goes along with the “Al Gore Let’s Profit Off of Phony Global Warming” crowd.
On another note, Eugene Robinson got it wrong again in his column about the D.C. Naval Yard shooting. The shooter did not have a semi-automatic rifle, but used a shotgun (Joe Biden’s favorite choice of weapons he believes Americans should use for self-defense) and a semi-automatic pistol he took off of one of the guards he murdered with the shotgun. The person who did this terrible act was insane. He would have found something to use as a weapon had no firearms been available. Robinson ought to investigate all of the crimes that are stopped because people are allowed to have firearms to defend themselves and others in a free society, and leave our Second Amendment rights alone.
