Letter: Religion would displace education

After reading the letter from Wayne Blankenship in the June 12 opinions, I find that I agree.

He feels that if we bring backthe Judeo-Christian traditions to our schools, all will be fine.

I can go him one better.

Bring in all the religions of all the children represented at each individual school. Let each religion have a “few moments” of silent or led meditation or prayer. This should take about half the school day.

Then after spending half a day in religious dogma, maybe you will concentrate on the secular education your children should receive at school.

If your religion needs secular validation, maybe you need to ask yourself why.
