Letter: Death row inmates lucky to feel heat Letter: Death row inmates lucky to feel heat Advocate story June 17, 2013 Comments I read with interest about the lawsuit being brought by three death row inmates regarding the heat on death row. I’m sure the guards may be hot as well, but I read no mention of that. I myself grew up without air conditioning, but have survived for 68 years nonetheless. For subsequent generations, it may seem that we have always had air conditioning, but that is not so. I believe the inmates have fans. That is what I had growing up in this very same heat. Of these lethal offenders I would say: how grand that they are here on earth to feel heat or cold or anything else. Those seven dead individuals will never feel any of those things again — ever. Nor will they eat or sleep or wake up in a morning as their killers do. Ann Pace project administrator Jackson, Miss.
