Providing vouchers to children who attend failing schools does not solve the problem of public education.
Even if we assume that children are getting a better education at private schools, the vouchers are only helping a small number of students. What about the many other children who are in public schools?
If vouchers do enable children to have a better education, then why not make them available to every student? That would seem to be the logical conclusion.
Oh wait! That would mean that we would no longer have public schools. That would solve the problem wouldn’t it, governor?
While we’re at it, why not do away with public colleges and universities?
