Letter: Interstate speed dilemma

Please let us know when the troopers will start enforcing the speed limit on the new section of I-10 east of the 10/12 split. The posted speed is 50, but I think I am the only one traveling at that speed. Or change the speed limit to 70 mph and get it over with.

Speaking of merging, beware the person who thinks you are obliged to move left even though the left lane is occupied; those kind of people are often vicious.

I'm more worried about the people that can't learn how to merge onto the interstate (tip: going faster than 35 mph helps), help people merge (by leaving ample space between you and the vehicle in front of you), and realize that you don't have to slow down to 35 mph to exit the interstate.

They speed up when they stop texting. While texting they are going about 35. Then they speed up to make up for it.

It is hard to watch your speed when you are texting.
