Letter: Reader wants more-current comic strips

I want to thank The Advocate for carrying Pearls Before Swine in the comics section. This is a really intelligent and well-thought-out strip.

I just wish you would carry more current strips like that (“Get Fuzzy”) instead of the reruns of “Peanuts” or “For Better or Worse.” I know you had the contest to decide which ones were being kept, but I think you should rethink that. You have a greater opportunity to reach more readers with the new ones.

Should comic strips all be like "Pearls Before Swine"? I hope not; I hardly read them as it is, but I do like some, both old and new, so I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder.

Careful what you wish for, Keith. I would also like more strips like Pearls, but we could be left without Pearls or Dilbert if new strips are selected.
