Former President George H.W. Bush, 88, is recovering from bronchitis and a fever, but we are sure that the good wishes of millions are helping him along in Houston. And in New York, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, 65, has been released from the hospital after being treated for a blood clot in her brain. The doctors say her prognosis is excellent. The two were adversaries at one time, as Clinton’s husband ran against Bush and defeated Bush’s bid for a second term in the White House. But the two families have become closer, as Bush and former President Bill Clinton have collaborated on many projects — not least, raising millions for Gulf Coast recovery after hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005. We join their friends and admirers in wishing them rapid recoveries.
