Our Views: Two straight for the Cajuns
0 Comments
Led by sophomore quarterback Terrance Broadway, the Ragin’ Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette won an exciting 43-34 victory against East Carolina University in the New Orleans Bowl.
It was the second straight win for the Cajuns in the bowl, which drew almost 49,000 fans to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
The game was a true struggle, though, with turnovers at critical points for both teams. Senior kicker Brett Baer provided three field goals that proved a key to the game, as well as Broadway’s passing for 316 yards and running for 108 more.
We congratulate Coach Mark Hudspeth’s team for its second 9-4 season, and look forward to a terrific 2013 season with the Cajuns’ returning quarterback.
